I recently read some where (likely a magazine as that is the extent of my reading material) that Halloween is the biggest "hook up" holiday of the year. That makes sense to me because it is the one day a year that a girl can dress like a tramp without other girls mocking them and ugly dudes can hide behind masks. The premise of the article was that by the time people realize that the chick in the French Maid costume is cleverly hiding her pig-ness or the outgoing, fun dude in the Homer Simpson mask actually resmebles Homer the alchohol has kicked in and people hook up anyway.
With that said, you need to attract chicks at the bar quickly before the Molson kicks in. If you lock in on a target early in the night when you are still sober you have a higher percentage chance of scoring at least a C+ hook up. In order to accomplish this meager feat you may want to invest in one of these costumes. When you are shopping keep a couple things in mind.
1. Ugly dudes should buy masks
2. Fat girls wear capes
